The Heritage Apartment at 81 Sullivan Street is a great short term or long term place for students to stay. As a summer intern, I had no issues checking in and the room was exactly as described. It is spacious, clean, and fully furnished. Yana, the property manager is really wonderful and responsive. I felt safe and very well cared for here! A great experience overall

I wanted to submit a personal review for Yana, the most understanding, kind, helpful, responsive, and thoughtful property manager I have ever had. Yana has truly served as not only a landlord, but a guardian figure for me. She always checks in to ensure my roommates and I are enjoying our stay, lets us know whenever she needs to come in, fixes any issues within the day, and is very sweet to top it all off. She has made my roommates and I feel extremely comfortable and taken care of! Yana is one of the main reasons I chose to stay here again this summer, as she is extremely dedicated to her job and it clearly shows that she is personally invested in every tenant that stays here. We love Yana!!!

I’m writing this review to say that Yana, the building manager, is the best thing about this place. She is always responsive and helpful, and she’s also just a sweet, down-to-earth person. She even came to help clean once when my roommate asked for a cleaning but housekeeping wasn’t available. Also, I love having in-unit laundry here.

What I love the most is the location, it's accessible to everything I need. The room itself was clean and comfortable. However, there's one drawback to consider, it's a walk-up building with no elevator. While it wasn't a dealbreaker for me at first as I was informed during my virtual meeting that there are no elevators, I only realized that it was a bit more challenging especially on grocery days or post leg days at the gym. Overall, a great choice for students looking for an affordable studio near NYU. Just be prepared for a little extra legwork if you're on a higher floor. Shoutout to Yana, the best property manager

The apartment was exactly what they show in the photos! Yana, the property manager, was perfect and communication was quick and easy through text. I was skeptical moving to NYC at first for a short term visit, but everything that Heritage offered was great! - the room, management, and location. There is lots of nightlife around and a short subway ride from a majority of things in Manhattan. I would recommend this place to all my friends.

The apartment is very comfortable and convenient. It has everything a newcomer needs including a bed, a desk, a chair, a shoe closet and etc. My apartment manager Yana is also very sweet. I’ve lived at 133 West 3rd Street for over 3 months now and it is a wonderful place to stay. The monthly housekeeping and pest control is an amazing benefit, and the apartment is very modern with nice amenities. It is extremely centrally located, especially for NYU students. Yana has been incredibly kind and responsive and it has been a pleasure living in this apartment.

I rented for two months over the summer for an internship in the city. The apartment was well kept and came with kitchenware, linens, utilities, wi-fi, once-a-month housecleaning & pest control, and an in-unit washer and dryer. The value and location were amazing. I cannot express enough how helpful Yana, the property manager, was: she was extremely flexible with her ability to meet, she provided everything my roommate and I needed, and she was always fast to answer any questions or requests.

This space was truly amazing. My roommate and I had a great summer here and we loved our apartment. The building manager, Yana is very responsive and will help you out with any issues that may occur within a matter of minutes on the phone or will even come over if need be, at truly any hour. She would always ask if everything was working and if something ever happened it was fixed right away. The apartment feels very new and everything worked great anyway. There was a cleaning service one a month that was also super helpful for my roommate and me.Additionally, monthly pest control sprays. I will miss our apartment and Yana. And I highly recommend.

Does NYU allow off-campus housing or does it require you to stay on campus?

According to NYU, living on campus is optional. It is not required unless NYU-NYC is your study away location for students enrolled at NYU-Shanghai or NYU-Abu Dhabi. For more information on your off-campus housing search, NYU has a good list of resources.

How far in advance do we need to make a booking?

If you’re looking to start a lease for the new semester or academic year, we recommend starting your application from the semester before to ensure that you can secure the best deals and your preferred apartment choice. Please note that you also have to take into account the time taken for the application process.

How can I find out more about the availability and pricing of these apartments?

For the best accuracy, we recommend that you make an enquiry via email. Our website only shows a general overview of all the apartments we have in our inventory regardless of their dates. As such, apartments showcased here may not be available for specific requested stay dates.

What is the minimum period of stay?

Based on one academic year,

For Spring/Fall Semesters: Minimum 4 months is required
For Summer Internships: Minimum 2.5 months are required

If you’re looking to stay for the full academic year, we require a minimum of 9 months’ stay.

Are there any fees associated with booking an apartment?

No, there are no hidden or additional fees when booking an apartment with us.

What safety measures are in place at Heritage Collection?

We take our students' safety seriously. Here are some of the safety precautions that we’ve implemented:

Access into the building is only available to tenants who have registered Brivo mobile pass to their smartphones
Access into individual units and/or bedrooms requires a physical key. For selected locations, this access can only be done by the Brivo mobile pass. This will be further explained upon confirmation of the booking.
24/7 CCTV surveillance
All tenants' visitors have to be registered with the Management before they are allowed to stay overnight

That said, we do encourage our guests to remain vigilant and alert at all times.

Are students allowed to have friends and/or guests over?

There will be an additional fee of $45/person should your friend(s) and/or guest(s) want to stay overnight.

Are students allowed to rent the apartments unfurnished?

All our apartments are fully furnished and move-in ready. We are unfortunately unable to market them unfurnished.
